Call of Duty: World At War: Zombies Verrückt Micro-Review: Solo Fun
No longer limited to wandering the rooms of an abandoned building, the zombies of the Verrückt zombie asylum add-on pack for iPhone's Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies are trying to break their way into the halls of an insane asylum.
The basic premise of this $5 in-game purchase is the same - kill off the zombies on your own or with up to three friends until they overwhelm you - but now you have more weapons, a new map and perks to help you out. But is it worth the price?
Anarchic-X is extremely proud to announce that the long-awaited Base Assault Modification for Call of Duty: World at War has gone LIVE!
Cornrow Wallace and Rollin Hard have been working strenuously since mid-2008 to bring you the intense gameplay that only Base Assault can deliver. The mod was developed to be compatible with the custom version of Demonmod, so you can expect that classic Call of Duty experience!
Anarchic-X World at War Base Assault BETA TEST Server IP is 18.104.22.168:28960
We currently have three custom maps in rotation on our Base Assault server. Rollin Hard brings us a warm-weather remake of a custom map for United Offensive known as "Ardennes", originally by Drecks @ After-Hourz. Cornrow Wallace brings us a stellar recreation of the United Offensive map "Ponyri" as well as an all-new original, "Farm". All three maps should be able to provide hours of entertainment, but new ones are already being worked on as we speak.
The mod is still officially considered beta, so if you encounter any bugs or have any suggestions, post in the forums or open up a report in the bug tracking system.

Good news – the team here at Treyarch are preparing a 1.7 patch to wrap up a few of the lingering issues surrounding the PC version of the game. Here’s a snippet from the 1.7 readme:
- Fixed a voice chat crash on systems with no default recording device selected.
- Fixed an issue causing erroneous duplicate qport errors.
- Server admins can disable team switching by setting g_allow_teamchange to 0. Players will be restricted to Auto-Assign in team-based gametypes.
The team is just putting the finishing touches on it before sending it off to QA for testing. No ETA is planned yet, but I’ll update when I get better clarity on its progress.
