Here you can find solutions for the Modern Warfare 3 PC errors, crashes and install problems.
If you are experiencing problems with MW3 and CoD: Elite on your Xbox or PS3 console check the following :
1. Rank Reset
If your stats are reset, Modern Warfare 3 will restore them using the previously stored backup. You may have lost all the progress made in last games.
2. Can’t Link Your Gamer Tag or PSN ID to CoD: Elite?
Clearing your browser cache. Or try different browser to log into CoD: Elite page.
How To Link or Unlink Your Accounts
To unlink your current console account you need to go to the login bar at the top of the page and click on your gamertag. Once you are on your profile page go down to the “Consoles” section. You can unlink your console account by clicking the Tick sign next to the console account you wish to unlink and it will be unlinked from your Call of Duty profile. At this point you can link a different console account to your profile by clicking the + sign next to the Xbox Live account.
3. Your Account Information could not be verified
Clean your browser cache to fix this error.
4. Prestige Tokens Not Showing
A data-server issue, will be fixed. If after a few days you still don’t see your tokens, contact Activision.
5. Call of Duty Elite – Bugs and Crashes
Will be fixed soon; says Activision.
6. Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 – Can’t Connect to Online Games.
Check the status of the service. Disable firewall and re-run the game. Port forward 81, 3074, 3075, 3478, 3479 (UDP) and ports 80, 443, 3074, 5223 (TCP) for Playstation 3. Port forwarded UDP: 3658 for smooth communication. Put your PS3 into DMZ of your router.
If you still can’t connect, disconnect your router and try again. You may get the error “The game session is no longer available.” Enabling UPnP, forwarding port 3074, or placing your Xbox 360/PS3 in your router’s DMZ to resolve this issue. If it’s PS3, try deleting PS3 browser cache and browser’s cookies.
7. Stats Don’t Update
Possible a browser glitch, will be fixed if you clear the cache of your browser and log-in again.
8. How To Link Call of Duty Elite to Youtube
To link your YouTube account to the CoD: Elite service, navigate to the Career page and click on the Vault anchor link on the right. There, you should see a “Link with YouTube” button. Clicking this will redirect you to YouTube and it asks you to sign in.
Now, all you have to do is click “Allow Access”, and you’ll be taken back to the CoD:Elite site. Now, every time you upload a video from in-game, your videos will be displayed shortly afterwards in your “Vault” section on the website.
