The developers behind Call of Duty: World at War are taking their game online Saturday, March 21 from 1:00 – 5:00 P.M. Pacific Time to play with the Xbox LIVE community. Want to join in? Xbox 360 Exclusive Co-Op Demo – "Hard Landing"

Treyarch and Microsoft have teamed up to bring Xbox 360 players an exclusive Solo / Co-Op demo for Call of Duty: World at War!

This demo will feature a level from our Pacific campaign, called “Hard Landing.” You assume the role of Pvt. Miller as you and your squad, led by Sgt. Roebuck (voiced by Kiefer Sutherland), push the Imperial Japanese army deep into their own territory on the island of Peleliu. The main objective – neutralize the enemy airfield.

CoD:WaW Xbox 360 - 'Disc Unreadable'

Yesterday Xbox 360 players got a message 'Disc Unreadable' when they wanted to play some Call of Duty: World at War. This message was not correct. The problem wasn't reading the disc, there was a problem with the servers.

Thanks to everyone in the community for their positive response to the free release of the Makin Day MP map and our second title update last weekend!

We’ve decided to celebrate the successful launch of this update with Double-XP Multiplayer! This coming weekend (March 6th – 8th) all players will accrue 2x their normal XP in all playlists – on ALL supported platforms! This includes Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3, PC, and the Nintendo Wii.

Be sure to clear some room on your calendars, as it’s going to be a frag-filled weekend indeed. The action starts Friday morning, and ends Monday morning Pacific Standard Time – see you online!

CoD: World at War - New TU / Patch for Xbox 360 & PS3 !

When you turn on your Xbox 360 or PS3 today and pop in World at War, you will be happy to find a nice surprise from Treyarch. Our latest Title Update / Patch has just gone LIVE, and with it some exciting new changes!

There are many different things we’ve addressed in this update, but the most exciting (and pictured below) is the addition of a new map! A daytime version of MP Makin - Makin Day - is coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 absolutely FREE!

Aside from the new dynamic the sunlight adds to the experience, some paths and cover have been modified to change-up the gameplay a bit. If you’re a PS3 player, you’ll get Makin Day when you patch. Xbox 360 players can download it from the XBL Marketplace once you sign into the game & Xbox LIVE and get the update.
