What answers ?  The answers on a list of questions. Questions from the CoD PC community.

Just some straightforward "yes or no" answers, some numbers and sizes etc. See read more for the complete list.

Fourzerotwo has only a few days to go and his European Tour ends. 

When he finally answers the PC questions and also negative; than it will be the exact same trick he pulled on us with MW2.

Do you believe that he can't answer the PC MW3 Version questions because he is on an European Tour ?

On October 5 he also twittered "I'll be back in the studio on Monday morning!"; this means today will be his fourth day back in the Infinity Ward studio.

And still no answers on our questions.

Well Glen Schofield just twittered... Seems they had a talk.

"We're tweaking & info on PC has to come from Bowling not me. I make the game, he is spokesperson."

But Schofield still thinks the PC version of Modern Warfare 3 will be " Epic ! ".

So He is still our official spokesperson but He doesn't want to talk to us.

UPDATED 10-21-2011 - And finaly Fourzerotwo gave us the Modern Warfare 3 PC Details.  And are we happy ?  Nope.

We from MapModNews strongly believe that Infinity Ward's Fourzerotwo is no longer, and maybe never was, the right community manager for the CoD PC gamers. This man, calling himself Creative Strategist, is lacking one of the most important skills you need to have as a community manager: empathy. 

Treyarch's JD_2020 was very different, because he knew that in times of trouble your community comes first. And with some communication, don't have to be much, you are showing your community that you care and will try to get things "solved".  This is managing your community. 

With Fourzerotwo still refusing to communicate; who is managing the PC community atm ?

And you know what ?  We believe Glen's honesty, but the PC version of MW3 won't be what 402 wants us to believe it is...

Neil Ginx from Ginx TV played some Modern Warfare 3 and talked with Glen Schofield.

Last week we published the first part of an interview with Glen Schofield, general manager of Modern Warfare 3 co-developer Sledgehammer Games, in which the former Visceral Games boss told CVG that multiple gameplay innovations will make the upcoming Call of Duty title the most accessible yet.

Now, CVG quizes Schofield about the CoD: Modern Warfare 3 game engine, his review expectations for Modern Warfare 3, and his impressions of rival shooter Battlefield 3.

'Our engine is a Porsche - copy and paste critics have no idea'

What do you make of criticism of the CoD game engine? Some have suggested it's starting to feel a little aged in comparison to some of its rivals?

Well I'll tell you one thing, I've worked on a lot of engines over my lifetime and spent a lot of time putting graphics in to them and this thing is Porsche. And what I mean by that is that it is stream-lined, everything in it is perfectly freaking clean. You can tell it's been worked on for years. It's easy to upgrade.

We worked with engines before that are like f***ing spaghetti. You can't work on a part and put it back in without messing with everything else. Modern Warfare 3's levels now are so much bigger than the old ones because they go more vertically, they have a bigger footprint and on top of that, higher fidelity, more textures and a lot more detail.

If you put Modern Warfare 2 next to Modern Warfare 3 you would see a huge difference. Look at all the character models, look at all the gun models, look at the reflections, look at the water. There is so much that we've added, so when someone says 'cut and paste', I don't even want to talk to them because they don't know. They just don't know. They have no idea.

And then on top of that you have what we added to the audio engine. Then there's a lot of stuff under the hood. People don't think about this but when you make your tools better and you can iterate twice as many times, you make the game better. So instead of going, 'Well, I'd really like to move that guy over an inch, that would actually make it better.' And people going, 'Ah, that's a pain in the arse. I'm not going to move him'. Imagine multiplying that over 200 times, 300 times, a 1,000 times over the course of the game. By not moving something, you're really affecting quality. With the tools we've added, maybe we can move them. The more you can iterate, the better the game will be.

I've said this before - I'm not shipping an engine, I'm shipping a game. So that's why I'm going to talk about the game. You can talk about your engine all you want. It's not fun.

There are so many strategies, so many ways to approach Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops: Survival mode and be successful at it.  If you had the opportunity to see some of the Waves people were reaching at Call of Duty XP, it’s absolutely amazing how some can immediately pick it up and stay alive for a long time.  The concept behind Spec Ops Survival Mode is intriguing for a variety of reasons. 

First, you have the ability to experience an entirely separate rank system consisting of leveling up, stats, leaderboards, etc.  I mean, that alone should capture the interest of some of you competitive types out there right?  You reached Wave 41 on Dome?  Well, now you can prove it along with the time it took you via the leaderboards.    

Second, you’re dealing with a lot of elements directly involved in Multiplayer.  Unlock perks, upgrade weapons with an assortment of attachments, and unleash point streaks such as turrets, predator missiles etc.  In a way, Spec ops forces you to maximize your understanding of the terrain.  If you play it enough, you start to realize where the power positions are, what line of sights work for you, and overall, how to stay mobile within the map without having to really think about the little elements that could dictate your agility during battle.

Here are some quick tips:

• When it comes to survival strategy, the one thing I’ve learned is conservation of funds.  Depending on the map, on average, I don’t purchase anything for at least ten waves.   You’ll stack up your cash and before you know it, you’ll have more options to choose from early in the game.  Having accessible cash at the toughest of times can be the difference maker for survival.
