i want to make my own maps and put them on my xbox 360 call of duty world at war game, is it possible? if so where can i go to learn how and get the downloads this website http://wiki.treyarch.com/wiki/Downloading_And_Installing_The_Tools says how to make your own map and what not but it doesnt say if its just for the PC game or what. i have seen people on youtube using a microsoft data migration kit and a couple programs to mod the game on 360 for cheats and stuff like infinite ammo.
can i use the same programs they used or one like it to put these custom zombie maps everyones making on my 360 or what?

You can't make any maps for Xbox 360.

The consoles are fully controlled by Microsoft, Sony etc.

Example: Console Owners have to pay for the extra Map packs. Maps are distributed by Microsoft DL servers. This is the only way you can get new maps downloaded directly into you Console. Selling mappacks is a big earner.

The PC version works differently.

Example: Because of the privately owned Multi Player servers ( can host up to 64+ players in 1 map) it is possible to use custom made maps. You dont have to pre-download.... you get the custom map on the moment you want to join the MP server. ( This kind of sharing makes it (almost) impossible for Activision to get PC gamers also pay for the map packs. So PC Gamers get the extra map packs for free.)

Example 2: You can download a custom made Single Player Zombie Map and put it next to the SP maps you already have on your PC. And you are ready to play.


So....

Although the COD game and its maps are created to work with the lower specs of the consoles. That's where the main money making is....

The PC versions of CoD are owned by Activision. Making them some extra bucks PLUS it is in the Game Industry's own interest to give many people a change to learn how to map and create modifications. So the best community mappers can be employed by the Game Developing Studios because it is hard to find skilled employees.

If you want to make own maps or want to play custom made maps.....

BUY THE PC VERSION OF CALL OF DUTY .

i suppose it might be possible if you did what people do for fallout mods on 360, just install it to a memory stick big enough then open it on the computer with hidden files showing and go to the folder the maps are then pop them in there, but i'm not sure if it would show on the menu, you may have to find some way to insert a console command to start the map.
