Next Modern Warfare 3 DLC could be some old CoD maps...

As it was the case with Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward might bring back some “classic” maps from previous MW titles to MW3. Four CoD 4: Modern Warfare maps, Strike, Vacant, Crash, and Overgrown, were remastered for the MW2 game-engine, so it is not too far fetched that Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games again would want to “remaster” some their favourite maps and offer them as part of the Call of Duty: Elite Premium’s monthly DLC drops and eventually the bundled MW3 Map Packs.

And recently, after been asked about whether the team behind Modern Warfare 3 would bring any old CoD maps back, Infinity Ward's Fourzerotwo stated “I don’t know yet.” Fourzerotwo added that from a personal standpoint, he “would love to see CrossFire, Backlot, Favela, and [his] favourite two Call of Duty maps ever, Overgrown and Crash.”
Interestingly, 4 of the CoD4: MW and Modern Warfare 2 maps Fourzerotwo mentioned are already part of the Modern Warfare 3‘s game files. The Modern Warfare 3 map file contains the Crash, Crossfire, Strike, Overgrown and the Highrise files.
Fourzerotwo also explained that initially ”the Liberation map was called Park,” remember the MW3 1st DLC screenshot teaser. However, the name was changed based on fan feedback. He noted, “everyone said it’s a horrible f**king name. That’s the best you could come up with?” The team realized that the fans had “a solid point.” This led to changing the map’s name to ‘Central Park’. However, “the lawyers freaked out” over the legal ramifications, according to Fourzerotwo during a Machinima live stream. He went on to add, “I think, at the end of the day, we could have possibly called it Central Park,” but this wasn’t meant to be because the team behind Modern Warfare 3 decided to “give it a Call of Duty-esque name.”
