Modern Warfare 2 and level 70 Hack. And not a word from IW

Well nobody knows. It can´t be that Infinity Ward didn´t receive the news that (since 4 days) ALL Modern Warfare 2 players are now automatically ranked up to level 70 whenever they enter a host-server "infected" by this MW2 hack.

How many MW2 players are using this hack ? Is it a big problem ?

By using and be made game-host (by IWNet) these players are spreading the "level 70 Hack" onto the PC´s of the honest gamers.

What we do know is...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has set several records last year. One was: the most pirated title of 2009. Because Modern Warfare 2's PC version was downloaded on torrent sites a whopping 4.1 million times, which is more than twice as many downloads as 2008's most-pirated game, Spore. Those numbers are all the more impressive when one considers that MW2 was downloaded over a period of just two months.

And all because, even today ! , you can play SP and MP Modern Warfare 2 with a pirated copy.....

So is it allowed to say that the most pirated game will also have a huge number of cheating players ?

In this case: yes. The current problem would simply not exist if (from day one) IWNet, Steam and Vac made it impossible to play MW2 with an illegal version and the use of changed gamefiles gave a player a direct ban.

What now...

Waiting on Infinity Ward to throw the towel in. 

VAC banning all victims would be stupid. So that is not expected to happen.

Lets hope IW will acknowledge they made a mistake and make it possible to restart your ranking.

You can try deleting the rank-files manually.
