  • Download the Mod Tools and GET STARTED HERE.

  • We'll be choosing our favorites on March 31st.

  • Step One: Download COD 4 Mod Tools

  • Step Two: Create Custom Multiplayer Map

  • Step Three: Submit And Share Your Work

Infinity Ward on 04/02/08 :

"On March 31st, we're going to be choosing our favorite community made maps and award the map makers of our favorites picks with special prizing and opportunities which we can't announce just yet but will be in the very near future (probably within a week). However the clock is ticking to get your map designed, as I said, we'll be choosing our favorite community made custom multiplayer maps on March 31st."

And so Call of Duty Community Mapmakers started to make "winning" maps.

But after this.... nothing.

By the end of March 2008 the Mapping Contest just vanished. Asking questions on the official Infinity Ward forum; like "who won?" got ignored or even penalized.

So without telling anything to the CoD community or even to the contesting Mapmakers the Community Mapping Contest got simply ditched....

There had been a CoD Map Making Contest before.
