Call of Duty 5: World At War - The First Two Levels
Watch Call of Duty 5: World At War's splendid intro, and then let yourself be led through the first two levels by master of ceremonies, Jack Bauer.
The campaign can be polished off in about eight hours, and no, it's not as good as Call of Duty 4's, thanks in part to the odd level where you'll fall time and time again to expertly thrown grenades. Saying that, I've been unable to play the campaign or zombie bonus mode in co-op, and based on my beta experiences, I do know that I dislike the competitive multiplayer component.
Left 4 Dead does zombies better, has an entire campaign and Versus Mode, and is endlessly replayable; Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has a superior, entertaining campaign and can be had at a budget price; and Call of Duty 5: World At War has a six-hour campaign with the occasional crappy level, a terrible tank segment, a re-skin of CoD 4's multiplayer, the opportunity to replay the campaign with three others for achievements and ranks, and the ability to deploy fancied-up cheat cards to mutate the experience. Which to buy? My money's on Left 4 Dead, literally.
