There was some anger and confusion among the PlayStation 3 Elite Premium subscribers about the release of the first Modern Warfare 3 DLC.
Four days ago the first of the MW3 DLC's (new extra content) got released on the Xbox 360 for those Xbox players with a Call of Duty Elite Premium subscription. While PS3 Premium members thought that their Call of Duty: Elite Premium membership also meant that they would receive the MW3 DLC on the same day as Xbox 360 Elite Premium subscribers; but this was clearly not the case. As the first DLC is being held back for the PS3 players due to an arrangement Activision still has with Microsoft, where Xbox gamers are always getting any extra CoD content before any of the other platforms.
So the first MW3 DLC for PS3, containing the same 2 new maps, is still on hold till an unknown later date and Activision is dodging any blame, claiming that they didn't mislead the angered PS3 gamers.
Activision's PR agent, Dan Amrich, tried to shoot down all complaints by saying that Activision never told anyone that PS3 Elite Premium subscribers would be getting the DLC's on the same day as the Xbox.
“It was never one of the things listed in the official benefits chart; it was never promised by any representative of Activision, Call of Duty, Elite, or its developers. Honestly? I think gamers just convinced themselves that it would happen because they wanted it to happen. That makes sense, but it doesn’t make it true,” said Amrich on his One of Swords blog.
"All Elite [Premium] subscribers will be able to access the DLC before it goes on sale to a la carte purchasers. The window of time has not been disclosed. For PS3 owners, this does not override this business-deal that currently brings MW3 DLC to Xbox 360 first; that deal is valid through 2012. However, Elite members will get the DLC before the non-Elite members on their platforms," Amrich pointed to an old post on the content timing issue to summarize.

Dan Amrich is a paid Activision disciple. And he is often used to point out the small print of the "contract".
But those PS3 Premium members have a point; because like always Activision used the don't tell them to much details selling-tactic. So nobody (Fourzerotwo or the official Elite twitter) mentioned that Elite Premium DLC would be released on a later date to PS3 Premium subscribers. In fact it gets only mentioned once and that's on the Elite FAQ page.
So when Amrich says: I can find no evidence of “buy Elite, get PS3 DLC same time as 360...″ he also can't give an example of Fourzerotwo or any other Activision employee telling people that the Xbox users will get the MW3 DLC's weeks before the PS3 Premium subscribers
You're a MW3 PC player ? Expect the first DLC at the end of March...
